I am experiencing some technical difficulties with my iPhoto (or, rather, my available disk space), so I am going to proceed with the record keeping sans photos for now.

Christmas morning rocked. Christmas Eve rocked. The entire Christmas season rocked. Christmas time is my favorite, no doubt. Who doesn't love the season of giving, loving, singing, eating, sniffing, cozying, gifting, and playing? And who doesn't love spending an entire month in remembrance of our Savior's birth and life? Best season ever.

Christmas Eve was spent with the whole Sedgwick clan over here at the Stapley home. We have the coolest family! We ate mexican food, sang all the best Christmas tunes, slurped peppermint egg nog, and enjoyed watching everyone open gifts. Even though the official festivities wrapped up around 8pm, we were up plenty late wrapping and assembling the magical Christmas morning array of goodies.

This Christmas was so much fun for me! I couldn't wait to see Danny and Steve open their presents. It's funny how Christmas changes as you get older, married, and become a mother. It just gets better and better :) Danny's big surprise was a sweet tent/tunnel combo. We also got him a cool dump truck tractor thing-a-ma-jig that he can ride on and honk the horn. He, of course, had the most fun running in circles jumping in everyone's wrapping paper on the floor. I got Steve an awesome golf bag (he still had his bag from high school!), and Steve won the Christmas morning competition by gifting me with two tickets to see WICKED at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in March! I am SO EXCITED. I've been once, and I've been wanting to go again ever since. Another exciting thing I received was a Flip Video camera from my parents. I've been taking video clips all the time. I love it!

Christmas morning wouldn't have been complete with the traditional dutch babies breakfast smothered in fresh lemon juice and powdered sugar. Mmm... I'm getting hungry just typing this.

I must say the (almost) best part about Christmas Day was the extra sleep! Danny woke up at 7am, ran around for 20 minutes, then we  put him back to bed (because we were tired, ha!), and he slept until 10am! It was miraculous. THEN, as if life could not have been any better, he took a 2+hour nap in the afternoon while we took our naps, too. Amazing. Christmas miracle.

Can't wait for next Christmas! Hopefully we'll have another buddy to love and spoil by then ;)
