cousins + camp
Every summer, my aunts put on a Cousins Camp for all the kiddos. I, sadly, am the second oldest grandchild, so this tradition didn't start until I was well into high school (and therefore too cool and/or too busy to attend). All my cousins are still young'uns, so cousins camp lives on. My older sister and I get to bring our little ones to mingle with our aunts and cousin, now. It is amazing! My aunt Monica is the ringleader. Camp is always at her home, complete with a big red barn, bonfire pit, archery station, ukulele hut, trampoline, loft for camping, pool, and every quintessential "camp" item you can imagine. Cousins camp is also complete with awards, a camp store, a play, a talent show, devotionals, KP duty, cousin buddies (older take care of younger), and testimony-building activities. It is really incredible. These cousins of mine are out-of-this-world, stellar, talented, loving, intelligent, and strong! I admire each and every one of them. This year we only attended the pool day, beach day, and closing activities. It was a great couple activities to be a part of, and I hope we still are doing (at least something like) this for years to come so Danny and Mason can really be involved!
