Pumpkinland Extravaganza

(Unrelated thought: Right now I can hear my lil' bro pulling Danny around on something with wheels. He is giggling so hard, and I am so grateful that we live with family so Danny can have kids to play with :)

So last weekend, we hopped on a plane and headed to Utah for a weekend with the cousins and Grandma Kathy and Poppy (Steve's parents). Danny was in HEAVEN with all the kids to play with. And now that he can walk, he can pretty much keep up with the crew. It is so much more fun for him to play with the kids instead of watch the kids play.

The main stop of the weekend was Pumpkinland. Steve's family has been going there forever, and his mom is obsessed with having all the grandkids go together every year. Something about the pumpkin patch is just so special to her :)

Danny and I dressed for the occasion, but Steve missed the flannel-plaid memo.

Also, as I mentioned previously, this weekend consisted of mucho comida. That's "food" to the layperson. It was a fun and delicious couple of days. We ate our favorite pancakes at Magleby's Fresh, the most amazing philly cheesesteaks at the Italian Place, made a dinner stop at Brick Oven (obviously), lunched at La Casita in Springville, inhaled bean and cheese burritos at Taco Amigo, and, of course, picked up a couple apple fritters at Provo Bakery (go there NOW - 100 N 200 E).

On Sunday, the kids dressed up in their costumes and we had a halloween dinner at Grandma's house. Danny was superman -- picture to come! What a fun weekend. The weather was PERFECT, the mountains were beautiful (like always), and the company was a pleasure.

Since you're a food junkie (like yours truly), be sure you hit up Flour Girls and Dough Boys in American Fork next time you're here. Everything is good, but I particularly like their meat pies and their breads & spreads. So delish!
