a guy walks into a bar

danny is seriously the clumsiest, saddest thing i have ever seen this week. he has one black eye, a cut on the other eye, a scraped up nose, a scab on his forehead, bruises on his legs, and a big bump on the side of his head. he tries to stand on skateboards, climbs onto tables, walks into chairs and walls, trips down the stairs, runs too fast and falls on his face, etc. you get the idea.

he must just be at that age! he seems to be really into doing "big kid" things. along with the more adventurous activities come the more adventurous scars, sadly.

at least i know the kid is tough. he is aggressive. he is competitive. he is into sports and playing outside. he loves balls. he always finds a way to get down to the bball court when i'm not looking. i think the bumps and bruises are well worth the fun of watching him grow up.

and i know it's just the beginning.
