Employment Feels Good
Steve accepted his first "real" job yesterday! He will be working for a company called dealersocket based in San Clemente, CA and he starts work on May 3rd. I am sooooo so so so proud of him -- he's worked very hard to find a good job these past few months. We feel so lucky that he's had so many opportunities and options in such a difficult job market. Congrats, Steve! I LOVE YOU and I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!
The job will require a TON of travel (aka Monday-Friday, eek!) for the first few months while he learns the ins and outs of the biz, but luckily we will be living with my parents for the summer, so Danny and I will be in good company while Dad is gone working. As for Steve's loneliness, well, let's just say there might be an iPad in his near future. After his "training period," he will be traveling between 1-2 weeks out of every month.
We are excited to be starting this new chapter as a family! BYU student life has been good to us (after all, it brought us together!), but it is time to take the next step. We will miss Steve's family, our ward, the mountains, Provo's charm, and the great culture that we've become so accustomed to during our college years.
T-minus 18 days -- California, here we come!
