Morning in Charlotte

So we had to go to Charlotte this morning (blah...) to visit the doctor because I've been having frequent, hard contractions. I waited about a week before calling -- I didn't want to have to go all the way to the doctor! Finally I decided I should just call.

This was me on the phone with the nurse:
"Um... I don't think this is a big deal, I don't think I'm going into labor or anything, but I know the doctor said to call if I ever have more than 4 contractions in an hour... so I just wanted to let her know that I have been having 4 or 5 an hour for a couple hours at a time everyday for like a week... BUT it's really not a big deal...(please don't make me drive to Charlotte...)"
Haha. Nope. They made us come. Bah! After a little poking, prodding, and a lab test, everything's fine -- phew!

Steve is probably the best husband in the world. He woke up extra early, spent 4 hours driving me back and forth from the doctor, picked up my Zofran prescription with me, and bought me a churro on the way out (bonus points). Although it's always a long morning when we drive to the doctor, I LOVE spending so much time with my love. He takes such good care of me --Thanks honey :)

On another note, the baby hasn't turned. Since he's been upside-down (or right side up?) for months, the doctor didn't sound too optimistic. I am super bummed. I look online everyday at pictures of breech babies and read about the dangers, risks, options... just psyching myself out like usual. I DO NOT want a C-section, and I DO NOT want anything dangerous to happen during the birth. I hope all goes well. The end.

I'm glad everything was okay! Kaden was breech too and he turned on his own! If you have to have a c-section, don't worry! It's not bad at all and you won't pee your pants when your 50! lol!

Boo on having to drive to Charlotte. I don't know how far away from you that is, but i assume its far. The contractions seem kind of scary. Apparently your body and pregnancy don't really like each other. But its a good thing you have a husband that likes you : ) REALLY likes you!

REally Becca,, a c-section wasn't horrible! I promise. I had prepared myself for it though from the beginning of the pregnancy just in case it would happen. So if you start to do that now, it will be MUCH better. Feel free to read my birth story on my blog about the c-section. Any my recovery was really good to. It helps to have a great husband who will do everything for you like you do!

Also, if you find out you are going to have to have a c-section, email me. tiffconley@gmail.com. I will tell you how mine went and everything to help you feel better. Ryan took a video of my little girl right as they pulled her out, and you can see that it isn't too bad. I usually don't share it to people other than my family, but would love to share it to you if it would help any. But also, if you think thats not so fun... totally not offended. Anyways... long comment. bye! :)
