So last weekend, CharLee and I volunteered to help with stake youth conference. We served food for two days to 130 people. We made taco salad (imagine the vats of bubbling ground beef -- eek!), shredded BBQ pork and beef (we shredded like 10 beef roasts and pork shoulders... with tiny forks... it was painful), 200 sandwiches, and probably a million salads.
Cooking gigantic amounts of meat was kind of gross. Kind of cool, mostly gross. The best part was that there was extra food and we got to take home an entire pizza, huge amounts of pork and beef, applesauce snacks, fruit cups, and sandwich meat. That's what we've eaten for the past 5 days. Yum!
