Kindergarten Readiness

I can hardly even believe I'm typing this right now. Danny goes to "SCHOOL". Yes, school! With teachers, discipline, schedules, friends, homework, and snack-time. He LOVES it. At first, he was a little shy, but as soon as he saw his friend Shea (and kind of cousin? not really, but totally connected), he was good to go! We have enjoyed sitting together and working on his homework, talking in carpool after a long day of work, and picking out (kicking and screaming) our outfits each day.

Ms. Leah is his teacher, along with two other helper teachers. He actually LIKES me when I pick him up, and that  weekly 3-second hug (on purpose) is worth every penny. So glad to have such a sharp and adventurous 3-year-old. He barely (not really) made the age cut, and we are so glad. I can tell he is learning LOADS already -- making friends, writing his letters, challenging himself, respecting teachers, etc. All good stuff. And the break twice a week for us to separate and recharge (for both of us) is good!

LOVE my firstborn and his spunky little personality!
Super excited to head out the door
