WEST is BEST

We loved our time in Boston -- it was an incredible place to live for the summer, but we definitely love the WEST the BEST! Our last day in Boston, we went to the harbor for our first time -- it was one of our favorite places.

We were SO HAPPY to fly straight to California for a fun weekend with my side of the family. We saw fern for about 20 minutes before she left for Utah :( We got to Carlsbad and bunked up in a hotel with everyone for a couple days -- Legoland (woo hoo!), Outlets (woo hoo!), and spa time (woo hoo!) made the trip so fun. We love our family, and we miss them so much! PS I don't even have any pictures from that trip because my mom becomes the appointed photographer everytime we're all together. D'oh, I wish I had some pics.

WE MADE IT BACK TO UTAH in one piece -- after one week of passing through New York, Connecticut, Boston, LA, Orange County, San Diego, Nevada, Arizona (briefly, haha), and finally UTAH. We bunked up with Steve's family the night we arrived, then we hit the pavement bright an early to move into our new place.

Funny moving day story -- We went to our storage unit to clear it out, and there were these big cement poles all over the property protecting corners of buildings, fences, etc from big boats, trucks and trailers ramming into them. These poles were all filled with cement. I open up our padlock with a key attached to the same ring as my car keys, leaving the key in the padlock, and reach over to set them on TOP of a cement pole. What did I hear? "Clink, clink, clank, clunk, THUD." Our keys, with a 1 pound padlock attached to them, fell through a cement pole about 9 feet long (the pole went into the ground about 3 feet, and was about the width of my arm) AHHHHH!!!! Long story short, Steve fashioned a fishing hook out of a collapsable tent pole, a wire hanger, and lots of duct tape. AND I FISHED IT OUT on my third try! PHEW. We got lucky.

Here is a summary of what we've been doing the past couple weeks:
Social Security office to change my name, DMV for a new license, Health Center to buy insurance, BYU to pay charges and tuition, 2 banks to close accounts, Wells Fargo to open a new account, called all credit card companies to change name and order add'l cards, changed all payment profiles online, upgraded to Executive membership at Costco, sold a TV on craigslist, bough a TV at Costco, registered for classes (notice the order of events... haha), went to a dentist without dental insurance for the first time in my life, bought a REAL KNIFE set, acquired (THANK YOU!!) a new washer and dryer from Steve's parents, played at the STATE FAIR started babysitting once a week, fixed our scooterrode bikes up the canyon trail, played TENNIS, watched BYU massacre UCLA at the football game, picked up our gym passes at Throwdown, and went to the doctor. We've been all over the place and it's nice to finally be settling down. I'm still searching for a job -- with a few good prospects already in the works. Here are a few pics as of late.We were so lucky to have gift credit from our wedding -- We bought ourselves some state of the art Wustof knives. Jackpot!
Steve played in a golf tournament representing APX at Thanksgiving Point.
He looked SO CUTE in his new golf sweater!
Go Cougs! Almost my alma mater :)

This sandwich was the size of Steve's head... We got three of them for 4.99.
A package from COUSIN's CAMPERS!
Sorry, Amanda. My washer/dryer story is so much different than yours haha. Lucky!!
